watching Phantom of the Opera with a small group of people is my ideal Friday night. I also got a package from my mom, and I'm going to the beach tomorrow. everything is very lovely.

I went to a kickboxing class tonight and even though it kicked my butt... it was awesome. I think this will become a habit.

College is great, so far. I love all my classes and everyone on my floor. It's a little scary how wonderful it's going, for the most part. Homesick, too, but it's okay.

Well, The Amulet of Power was not nearly as good as the other two books, in my opinion. But now that I've read it, I really need to finish Three Cups of Tea before school starts. Austin's home, too. I like driving to Raton to drop him off and pick him up, even though I don't think anyone else does. I guess everything starts going back to normal now.

Until August 21st, which is both incredibly exciting and incredibly terrifying.

I really like my schedule for college. Art all morning on Mondays, nothing on Tuesdays, art and urban agriculture all day on Wednesdays, rhetoric and art all day on Thursdays, and garden outreach all afternoon on Fridays. Lots of time to explore the beach. Now I just need to figure out the situation with my roommate, wireless computers and the microwave slash refrigerator thingy.

"Love Remembers" is a great song. Also, although seeing animals killed in the road may be a common sight, it's completely different when you're experiencing it. I felt horrible and sick all day.

The prince made it to the wedding after all.

The Tomb Raider novels are very, very good. I was a little wary at first, thinking that since they were based on video games they wouldn't be the kind of thing I'd like to read, but I love them. LOVE THEM. Very exciting, and full of adventure and mystery and history and all kinds of things that make you think. Lara Croft is my new hero. And I was able to buy a book on Amazon for one cent. Can't really beat that.

Next weekend will be pretty exciting. Saturday, we're going on a tour at the wolf rescue center. I'm really looking forward to that, for obvious reasons. Sunday, we're going to drive to Raton to pick up Austin. It feels like the summer has gone by really quickly without him. He can get annoying, but he's been gone for a long time, so I do miss him.

This weekend was fun, too. Yesterday my mom, Jon and I went on a bike ride, and today, I drew a lot. Read a lot, too, and I'm going to go do more of that pretty soon. I should start cleaning out my room to decide what I'm going to take to college, but I don't really want to yet. I really wish I had someone to spend my summer with. I feel like it's been a little wasted because of that. I have my parents, and I do like going out and running around with them, but I wish I had someone else, too. I've just been kind of lonely. People who do have someone to spend their time with are luckier than they know.

I took some scrap from work, two thick black poster boards and a roll of magnet sheet, and I played a little with those today. Pastel looks great on the black board. Once I discovered that, I made a poster of Chapter 6, because I've also been listening to their music all day.

That's pretty much it. Back to work tomorrow, which isn't going to be fun at all, but I need money for college somehow.
